Samson

One last time, Lord; please give me one last time,
My gouged eyes seek some vengeance, please let
Me repay the Philistines for their crime,
And through crushed pillars my pains forget.
I betrayed my blessing to the sly girl
With teasing eyes, I have paid my price
Give me back some change, let me once more hurl
My strength against your enemies, those lice.
A false god praised by a false people proud,
Mocking us both, You must defend Your Name,
My hair returns, join with it strength unbowed,
Letting me now die with them to end my shame.
Yes, strength singing, the stones begin to crack,
Death shall deliver what my life did lack.
