Shakespeare and the Good Life

William Shakespeare is the immortal bard of the English language, the great dramatist of the human soul on the human stage. Shakespeare is recorded as having been baptized on April 26, meaning he was likely born a little bit beforehand. While no one knows for sure, April 23 tends to be a date of celebration. Even so, the end of April is usually filled with Shakespeare festivities and celebrations for those who love the bard and his work.
Here at VOEGELINVIEW, we are reintroducing themed editions: a series of consecutive essays, reviews, and other writings dedicated to a particular topic that was announced earlier in the year. We welcome “Shakespeare and the Good Life” over the next ten days. New book reviews on Shakespeare and Shakespeare related works, essays on his plays and sonnets, and reflections on why Shakespeare is relevant for our time will appear in our pages. I know, dear readers, that you will find much joy, wisdom, and insight from these works.
