The Unfinished Sentence

In your insular grave
You sleep,
Surrounded by motion, life, illusions, vanity, hypocrisy.
This is the end –
The beginning, others say.
Nothingness,
The eternal abyss.
From here you grow,
Spreading your Being through the green grass,
Across the universe and into eternity,
Bearing the burden of a contradictory cross on your flogged,
Bloody,
Torn,
Time-keeping back.
In the grave
We become our every word and thought,
Emotions,
Beliefs,
Doubts,
Spirited speculations,
Biographical saga –
A requiem for remembrance.
