Your Old Men Will Dream Dreams

Regard that old man sleeping over there
His nasal snores, his silver strands of hair
That streak in patches all along his face
And that stale smell which emanates
About the room, the taste of cigarettes
That hangs on all his short and wheezing breaths.
What does he dream of as he turns and turns?
What sights and sounds disturbs him as he stirs?
