Albert Camus
Albert Camus (1913-60) was a French-Algerian philosopher, author, and journalist. His best known works are The Stranger (1942), The Plague (1947), The Rebel (1951), The Fall (1956), and Exile and the Kingdom (1957). He was awarded the Noble Prize in Literature in 1957.
