Luke Philip Plotica is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Virginia Tech, where he researches and teaches in the areas of political theory and public law. In addition to work on Michael Oakeshott and modern legal and political conservatism, he has published work on American political thought, including the book, Nineteenth-Century Individualism and the Market Economy: Individualist Themes in Emerson, Thoreau, and Sumner (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017).
