The Dragon

When you first looked up at the stars
And saw the art of my wings flying free
Did you dream about you and me
Traveling to worlds near and far,
Two hearts becoming one because of the beauty
Of imaginative love?
Those days were not just dreams, when you and I
Became all that we could be, flying free
To worlds filled with unimaginable beauty
Which always brought a smile to your face
And showed me the beauty of your inner grace.
Though you have grown old, and I still fly beside the stars
When I look down at you dancing from afar,
I still smile at the memories we had when you were a child.
