Darkness Dreaming

Darkness,
Am I coming or going surrounded by this darkness?
Have I lost my way in my becoming?
I close my eyes and let the darkness comfort me;
Like my mother’s womb, I am held, constricted, and protected.
In the darkness,
my mind is released to dream;
To become anyone or anything I wish.
Gender -am I male, female, both, neither,
Race –no box to put me in,
Culture – uniquely my own,
Class – is irrelevant in the darkness,
Spirit – illuminates, radiates, and connects me to the energy force.
No delusions to blind me.
In the darkness,
Alone?
Am I myself?
How many of me are there?
Who is she who speaks? Who is he who listens?
What is required of me – alone in the darkness?
In the darkness, dreaming,
in the abyss, floating towards the source!
I am changing, dreaming of my higher self.
I let go, breathe, and press through this veil.
I embrace all there is and all there will ever be.
I am blessed with Divine Light surrounded by darkness!
I do not forget the darkness; it, too, is a part of me.
As the light floods in, I long for the darkness.
It feels like home, and I listen to my sacred self;
I’ll find my way in this darkness.
In darkness,
Love is here, life is created, and spirit is inflamed.
I am omnipotent in the darkness, dreaming.
