Den Auftakt machte diese Woche der Nominierungsparteitag der Demokraten. Normalerweise ein Mega-Event in einer grossen Halle und mit viel Publikum, doch wegen der Corona-Pandemie mussten die Demokraten experimentieren. Sie halten ihren Parteitag im Stil einer TV-Show ab, die im Fernsehen und online übertragen wird. Zu sehen gibt es Auftritte von namhaften US-Demokraten wie Michelle und Barack Obama, Bill und Hillary Clinton und Vizepräsidentschaftskandidatin Kamala Harris. Den Abschluss macht heute Joe Biden mit seiner Nominierungsrede. Wie gut hat dieser virtuelle Parteitag der Demokraten funktioniert? Und welche Strategie lässt sich für den weiteren Wahlkampf von Joe Biden erkennen?
